importante fator que influencia os processos qu{\'{\i}}micos,
f{\'{\i}}sicos e biol{\'o}gicos na Terra. Essa
radia{\c{c}}{\~a}o emitida por diferentes camadas da atmosfera
solar afeta a atmosfera superior e tamb{\'e}m o clima da Terra.
Neste artigo ser{\~a}o descritos os conceitos f{\'{\i}}sicos
sobre a irradi{\^a}ncia total e irradi{\^a}ncia espectral. Essas
medidas s{\~a}o fundamentais para a modelagem do clima da Terra.
Tamb{\'e}m alguns modelos utilizados s{\~a}o descritos. A
rela{\c{c}}{\~a}o entre a irradi{\^a}ncia solar e o clima da
Terra ser{\'a} discutido. ABSTRACT: The solar radiation or
irradiance influences chemical, physical and biological processes
on the Earth. This radiation emitted from the solar atmosphere
through different layers can affect the Earths upper atmosphere
and climate. An overview about the Sun were presented. The
physical description of Total Solar Irradiance (TSI) and Solar
Spectral Irradiance (SSI) are explained. Some models of irradiance
are briefly described. The relationship between the solar
irradiance and the Earths climate were discussed.",
